The D2C Jewelry Brand Maria Black Scales Up its Market Presence in China Together with Aventura

Aventura has entered into an agreement with the Danish fast growing direct-to-consumer jewelry brand Maria Black. The agreement is structured as an exclusive “Market Partnership”, whereby Aventura takes full responsibility for developing Maria Black’s business in China, both online and offline.

Maria Black is a Danish brand that invites individualism and expression through its unique jewelry. The company sells its novel jewelry directly to consumers, mainly in the Nordics, but also in key markets in Europe and in Japan. As recently as February 2021, Maria Black entered the Chinese market and has in a record short time garnered much consumer interest. By entering into an exclusive partnership with Aventura, the company is confident to strengthen and build its position as an innovative jewelry brand in the fast-growing Chinese jewelry market.

Aventura will take over the responsibility for Maria Black’s existing e-commerce operations in China. The primary objective of the partnership will be to scale the brand by developing social commerce and both online and offline marketing channels. The mode of cooperation is based on Aventura’s “Market Partnership” model.

According to the international analytics firm Research and Markets, the total jewelry market in China was worth about USD 100 billion in 2020, of which the sales through digital channels is constantly increasing.
